PLAY ME ONCE

by M.M. Desch

January 25 – February 19, 2027 Virtual Book Tour

Synopsis:

PLAY ME ONCE by M.M. Desch

The Portland Murders

Grace MacKenzie lived quiet for decades. Not broken quiet. Strategic quiet. The kind that keeps the most important things hidden and whole.

In drought-stricken Durango, Colorado, she buried her grief, her desires, and her identity behind a life tailored to someone else’s pattern. The family farm in Nebraska, the last thing tying her to a past she survived, is finally about to sell. Seven figures. A clean break. A new life.

Then Kate Nichols walked into it. Sharp, magnetic, tender. And Grace opened the door she’d spent decades locking.

It was the most dangerous thing she ever did.

When Grace finds a dead reporter’s business card hidden in Kate’s belongings, a mask begins to crack. Not hers. Kate’s. The farm sale is being quietly sabotaged. Her farm manager has vanished. Someone with a key has been inside her office. And in a small town where everyone knows everyone’s business, someone has been studying Grace’s for a long time.

Every thread leads back to the woman sleeping beside her.

Grace knows exactly how to fold herself back into silence. She’s done it a thousand times. Now she faces a choice she never imagined: retreat into the shadows that always kept her safe, or stop folding and find out what her quiet has been protecting her from.

For fans of Freida McFadden (THE BOYFRIEND), Jeneva Rose (THE PERFECT MARRIAGE), and Isha Raya (YOU’LL NEVER FORGET ME).
