Synopsis:

A Misty Pines Mystery

When one night leads to three new cases to solve, a determined cop must follow the tracks of a deranged mastermind.

Sheriff Jax Turner treasures his second chance. Grateful to have reconciled with the love of his life and hopeful about her pregnancy, the protective LEO hopes his remade family can continue healing from a shared traumatic past. But his worries for their safety intensify when his shift explodes with an abandoned infant, a deadly hit and run, and a cougar standing guard over a corpse.

Unconvinced the animal should be labeled a killer, Jax pieces together startling clues that reveal the victim was the baby’s mother… and she died while fleeing a grave threat. But as he tries to convince the frightened townspeople that the big cat is innocent, the dedicated lawman uncovers hints of a twisted scheme with dire consequences.

With the lives of those he holds dearest mixed up in the madness, can he unmask the true villain before another woman dies?
